Censorship

 

This is a really tough topic amongst many people and logically under our constitution censorship should be completely illegal.

Parents should be the ones who tell their children that something is appropriate or non-appropriate for their age and when it will be appropriate. It really is not the governments job to us what is appropriate to read, watch write. This is censorship by control over other people.

There is a problem in this country and that is people want to tell others how to live, even in their bedroom and if they don’t like how you are doing something, they will try to ban it so now you cant do it either. These people don’t care about much, the just want to have the power over others. We have gotten so use to telling the government to ban something we don’t like that we have created organizations for that. Then we put the word Moral somewhere in the title, to make it more legit and what the public wants. You know what the public wants and that is to be ourselves and live without censorship. Then these groups demand that the politicians do this, or they threaten them with their jobs when it is time to re-elect them.

The thing that no one wants to talk about is that there is alternate solution to censorship. Here is the main solution, don’t like a book, well don’t read it, you don’t like a channel on the telly, then turn the channel there are over a thousand channels on TV and at least 20 different streaming apps out there. So, with all that there has to be something that there for you to like, and not to complain about what someone is watching.

Parents are responsible for their children, not anyone else except for the day-care and the teachers at their schools who are responsible for their education and dealing with some social issues. This means that you as a parent should work with the schools and not just leave them there and complain when they learn something you don’t like.

There is so much you as a person could be worried about then what book one is reading or what people are looking at on the telly.

Yes, the sole purpose of the government is to protect the citizens without any form of censorship forced upon its citizens. And also, to serve the public as a public servants they need to remember that we have freedoms of speech and freedom of expression. These are what our founding fathers wrote into the First Amendment along with Freedom of the Press, Religion and Assembly.

We all remember that these are out first five freedoms above all else. So censorship should and needs to be illegal in all its forms for the people of this country.
