Multiple Marriages

 

The idea of a person wanting to have more than one spouse is illegal in the United States and some other countries and I really don’t understand why. It seems fine with me if a man wants to marry multiple spouses or a woman wants to marry multiple spouse as well. I have never understood why this is illegal, I say if they want to let them.

It doesn’t make any sense of why it would be illegal, except for a small group of closed-minded people wanting to control what others are doing.  And maybe for the Domestic Violence angle, which I can see that part one spouse maybe getting physically or mentally abuse by the other spouses and then they don’t know what to do, because they are abused by multiple people.

This one group of closed-minded people are the ones who have made it or said it was wrong. Then people try to bring up how the bible says its wrong, even thought the bible states that polygamy is perfectly fine. And the whole of the Abrahamic Religions talked about it and promoted at one time or another. The people that have made the laws stating that it shall be wrong, keep saying that they are Christians, but yet never follow real Christian beliefs.

Judges 8:30 Now Gideon had seventy sons, his own offspring, for he had many wives.

2 Chronicles 13:21  But Abijah grew mighty. And he took fourteen wives and had twenty-two sons and sixteen daughters.

Many people don’t have a problem with polygamy, just as long as you are not causing any Domestic Violence or all living off of Government Services that are needed for other people. Which is I believe why polygamy is kept illegal, beside people saying you can’t do that because I said so.  People want the government to stay out of their private affairs, but then they demand the government to make laws restricting what marriage is and since marriage is and has always been changing through the centuries to adapt to social changes. This is interesting with all the politicians and government people that are always cheating on their spouses then the divorce rate is high among these people. You think that they would change these laws to accommodate them and be able to still suggest that they are on their High Moral Mountain) which is a whole other Bullshit thing of theirs)

We live in a modern society that adapts to our way of life, and where people should make their own minds up if it is between consenting adults and that no one is abused physically or mentally in the decision. People need to stop telling others how they need to live and what to do in someone else’s bedroom unless it is abusive, or harmful of some kind. It’s no one’s damn business.

These people that make the laws that tell others what they can and can’t do in the bedroom are the same people that try to preach small government and preach do as I say and not what I do.
