Religious Freedom
Everyone is entitled to practice whatever religion they wish, according to the 1st Amendment of the Constitution. The founding fathers didn’t want any single religion running the country. They wanted every faith and every religion to be equal no matter what another person thinks.
There is a certain way that some followers of a particular faith of a religion thinks, they think that their religion or faith is the only one and the others are cults or false religions. Which isn’t true no religion being false and no religion is better than another, no matter what some may think about their faith.
You have the right to believe, but not the right to force your religious beliefs onto others. No matter what your religion tells you, if you have a right so does the next person having that same right. Just because you think your rights are more important, they are not. If you take away someone else’s religious freedom, are you also willing to give it up yourself. The only time that the government may interfere is in order to protect the common good and limit peoples ability to harm others.
See the clause of the first amendment prohibits the government from encouraging or promoting (establishing) religion in any form or prohibiting the promotion of a singular religion of any kind. The government may not give financial support to any religion, and those private school vouchers violate the establishment clause. This is because taxpayer money is given to these schools that openly support a singular religion.
The government can not tell you or even they to legally penalize you because of your religious beliefs, unless it is to harm another person in the name of your religion. The public schools are run by the government, so they must obey the first amendment, while they can teach about the influences of religion in education such as History, Philosophy, or literature. The schools can not promote any one religion in the curriculum. But private schools can if they do not use any form of government funds to do it, because they are not run by the government.
