Congress enacts laws that influence the daily lives of all Americans, and they are there to serve as the voice of the people by the people's choice. It’s their responsibility to include funding government functions and programs, holding hearings to inform the legislative process, and oversight of the executive branch. They are supposed to be there for the people who have voted, even if was not for them. They are not there to enforce their religious beliefs or closed-minded ideas on the people.

And in that case each member of Congress (The House of Representatives and of the Senate) should have term limits, no one should make being a member of Congress a lifetime position, I do not care what political party you are from, no one should be in congress more than ten years max. To serve the people, there must always be fresh ideas, and not regurgitating old ones with new terminology. To get fresh ideas, there must be a reorganization of new people within congress.
